Commonly Standards for Spiral Steel Pipe

The commonly used standard   spiral steel pipe   is: SY/T5037-2000 (Ministry standard also called spiral seam submerged arc welded steel pipe for ordinary fluid convey pipeline). GB/T9711.1-1997 National Standard also called the delivery technical conditions of steel pipes for oil and gas industry Part I: A-grade steel pipes (The strict requirements are GB/T9711.2 B-grade steel pipes). API-5L (American Petroleum Institute. Also called pipeline steel pipe. It is divided into PSL1 and PSL2). SY/T5040-92 (spiral seam submerged arc welded steel pipe for piles) is a spiral seam steel pipe welded by automatic double-wire double-sided submerged arc welding process with strip steel coil as raw material, extruded at regular temperature.

Large Diameter Spiral Pipe: 5037 Standard and 9711 Standard

There are two standards for   large-diameter spiral pipe : 5037 and 9711. Standard 5037 is a steel pipe for ordinary flow transportation pipelines, standard 9711 is a steel pipe for industrial transportation. 9711 standard is also called national standard spiral steel pipe. The durable strength of 9711 standard spiral steel pipe mainly depends on the stress when it breaks after a specified time under high temperature conditions. It is mainly used for oil and gas transportation. 5037 standard is also called department standard spiral steel pipe. The standard steel pipe should do hydrostatically tested on the pipe body to prevent the pipe body from leaking during the application. It is mainly used in water supply and drainage projects of municipal engineering and pipes for building steel structures.

1. Wash with clean water Cleaning with clean water is to rinse the inner wall of the  steel pipe  with clean water, but it cannot completely remove impurities such as calcium and magnesium ion scale and biological slime attached to the inner wall of the steel pipe. 2. Physical cleaning The working principle of physical cleaning is using compressed air as the power, and use the launcher to launch a special projectile larger than the inner diameter of the pipeline into the steel pipe, so that it moves at high speed along the inner wall of the pipeline and fully rubs it to clean the inner wall of the pipeline. This method won't damage the pipeline.  3. Potion cleaning Chemical cleaning is to add chemical reagents to the water, but the chemical composition is corrosive to the steel pipe, and also shortens the life of the steel pipe, which is not advisable.
