Differences between Cold Drawing and Cold Rolling Processes for Precision Steel Tube

图片
Cold drawing precision tube   is elongating the metal without heating with cold drawing machine. The advantages are that it does not require high temperatures, but it may result in residual stresses. Also it is important to not elongate the tube excessively. Cold drawing can improve toughness and tensile strength, offering the better mechanical properties. The process for cold drawing (or cold rolling) of fine seamless steel tubes is as follows: round billet → heating → piercing → heading → annealing → acid pickling → oil coating (copper plating) → multiple cold drawing (cold rolling) passes → billet tube → heat treatment → straightening → hydrostatic testing (non-destructive testing) → marking → warehousing. The difference between cold drawing and cold rolling technology: Cold drawing refers to the method of applying tension at both ends of the metal material to make the material stretch and deform; Cold drawing refers to the method of applying a pulling force on one end of the ma...
