Calculation Methods for Galvanized Steel Pipe
Galvanized steel pipes are divided into cold galvanized pipes and hot-dip galvanized pipes, which are welded steel pipes with a hot-dip galvanized or electro-galvanized layer. Galvanized steel pipes widely used for conveying water, gas, oil and low-pressure fluids, as well as oil heaters for chemical coking equipment, and condensation cooling. The pipes used in the heat exchanger, the coal distillation wash oil exchanger, and the pipe piles of the trestle bridge, the supporting frame pipes of the mine tunnel, etc.
At present, two methods are used in the sales of galvanized steel pipes, gauge and weighing. Usually, the price of weighing is expensive than the gauge. Why? Now let’s take a look at the calculate methods.
1. Gauge calculation method
The galvanized steel pipe gauge is according to the length. For example, suppose you buy 10 tons of 219*8 galvanized steel pipe. If you calculate according to the gauge, it is 10*1000/0.2466/8/211. The final result is 24 meters. This is calculated according to the theoretical weight.
2. Weight calculation method
The weighing of galvanized steel pipes is calculated according to the weight. Assuming that you buy 10 tons of 219*8 galvanized steel pipes, if you calculate according to the weighing, it must be 10 tons of goods when delivered.
