Introduction to Welding Process of Alloy Pipes

Alloy steel pipes are used in low and medium pressure boilers with a working pressure not exceeding 5.88Mpa and a working temperature below 450℃. They are used for heating pipes, economizers,

superheaters, reheaters, and pipes for petrochemical industries in high-pressure boilers (with a working pressure generally above 9.8Mpa, a working temperature between 450℃ and 650℃).

To enlarge the argon protection area and enhance the protection effect, a large-diameter welding gun nozzle and increase the argon flow rate can be used for welding alloy pipes. If there is obvious splatter material obstructing the argon flow on the nozzle, the splatter material must be removed or the nozzle replaced.

The control of the welding temperature of alloy pipes mainly relies on the control of welding speed and welding current. Experimental results have shown that high current and fast welding speed can effectively prevent the generation of gas porosity. It is because welding the seam at a fast speed allows the molten metal to be heated for a shorter time, reducing the chance of gas absorption.

Here are the welding process information of alloy pipe, if you are interest in carbon steel pipe welding process, welcome to leave meassage on our website, Xiangjiasteel would like to do it for you.
